We are a Chartered Accountancy firm based in Falkirk looking to recruit a Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant to join our existing team.  

The role would suit a qualified accountant, however, those who are currently working towards CA or ACCA or Qualified-by-Experience will also be considered.  The ideal qualified candidate will have a minimum of 5 year’s experience working within Practice. For Qualified by experience we would expect you to have a minimum of 10 years experience with a similar sized Practice.

The position is part time but those seeking a full time position may be considered.

Your main duties will include:

Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations
Assisting with payroll and bookkeeping responsibilities as required
Managing client relationships
Preparing accounts through to completion
Working with Xero

Skills and Experience

Experience in similar roles and size organisations
A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants or ACCA
Part Qualified with 5 years + Practice Experience
Would consider qualified by experienced but would need to have over 10 years Practice experience
A good knowledge and experience of excel and other Microsoft applications
Previous experience working with Xero would be advantageous when working for smaller businesses however not essential.
Used to working in small teams and contributing in other areas where required
Manage own workload to ensure all deadlines are met
Must be a good team player
